This is JASON FYLES and he goes to my university (Newcastle University, North East of England) He is 19 years old, 5’8, ginger hair and slim. He was last seen in the Sandyford area at 2:45am on Thursday morning and has not been seen since. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey cardigan, beige chinos and brown ankle boots. Everyone in uni is so worried about him along with his family and friends. We are coming together as a university to appeal for his safe return. Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it
He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass
He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together
Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy

This beautiful girl on the left in this picture is my baby sister. She is 14yrs old. Her name is Jamie Marie Meyers, AND SHE IS MISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has been missing since Sunday, 04/21/2013. She is thought to be with her “boyfriend” whom is 18yrs old. His name is Matthew. We believe he’s convinced her to run away with him. We are terrified for her safety and it is unlike her to just leave without even a text. This girl is my life. She means more to me than anything else on this planet and not knowing if she’s okay is literally tearing me apart from the inside out. I want to die. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! Microsoft released an update recently for Windows 7: KB 2823324, and they’re advising you to uninstall it IMMEDIATELY. why? the article linked above explains it better than i can but long story short: IT IS VERY BUGGY AND CAN MESS UP YOUR COMPUTER TO THE POINT OF IT NOT STARTING UP. this is annoying as hell and i’m sure several of you have already experienced this hell (i haven’t because i saw this article on time, thank goodness). if you’re having trouble finding it or even having trouble booting up your computer, here are some ways to get rid of it:
TO UNINSTALL IT IF YOU HAVEN’T FALLEN VICTIM TO THE BUGS:
go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
look on the left sidebar. go to View Installed Updates.
search for “KB2823324” (make sure KB is in there, otherwise it won’t be recognized)
uninstall it and restart your computer.
TO UNINSTALL IT IF YOU HAVE FALLEN VICTIM TO THE BUGS:
restart your computer by presing the F8 key
select Repair Your Computer; select language and log on
select System Restore
start up your computer normally. doing this should uninstall KB2823324.
I’m an 18 year old boy, who is going to die in about a month.
I’m not asking for money, I’m not asking for pity, and I’m not asking for help. Just hear me out and see if you can spare a few minutes of your time for me.
I don’t wish to say why I’m passing, nor do I wish to give out any details about myself. I know it sounds a bit weird to you all, but I’ve come to terms with it and unable to leave my bed I have one last request.
I want you to tell me your story. I didn’t get to live long, and I didn’t get to do or see even a fraction of the things I wanted to. So I want to know what’s out there and I want to know how things are going for you.
There’s not much more I can do with my life at this point, and I will be gone soon, so if you could all take a few minutes to maybe, send me an ask telling me about something funny or sad that happened in your life, or submit pictures you’ve taken in trips, or even write out your entire life story I would love to read and look at all of them.
Help me live my last month, please?
(PS this is a serious post and I would rather not get hateful messages, I just want to quietly enjoy my time here without any added pain.

Our good friend Rae is celebrating his 3.5 months on testosterone with this nice number! He’s also selling original music to raise money for his top surgery. We encourage all of our followers to come up with creative ways to raise money for top surgery and selling your own original art/music/goods is a great way to come up with the funds!
I like how he sometimes seems pleasantly surprised by the sound of his own voice! Awesome!
The link above is a kickstarter. My ballet school wants to make a documentary so we can show our work to the rest of the world. It isn’t an ordinary ballet school though. We’re all blind. You can read more info about us if you click the link.
Dancing is a really important part of my life, and I would really like if we could be recognized outside of Brazil. Four of our girls danced in the Paralympic games of London, but we want even more world exposition. We need funds so we can progress, and if the school closes down I really don’t know what I’d do.
I beg you. Please contribute. Even one dollar will be greatly appreciated. I promise you it’s for a good cause and will help not only me but dozens of other girls as well. The girls who are my best friends. Even if you can’t donate any money, at least reblog this to spread the message. The more views it gets the better.

This is of utter importance, I HOPE everyone of my followers KNOW the consequences of bees going extinct. There is no other animal or insect on this planet that pollinates crops and plants. Without them, we would basically doom our world to end. It’s a very simple fact. Please help and sign the petition.
I know some of you might scoff at this and go “so what, I hate bees” or “I’m deathly allergic”. Well, my mother and brother are both severely allergic to bees, and guess what? My father is a bee-farmer. They still get by splendidly and help out with the work. As long as you’re careful, there is no problem with bees. The fact remains, if we didn’t have bees, we wouldn’t have vegetables or greens or any plants. And with no plants, animals can’t survive, and in the end, we will sit here, with no ways of sustaining life.
I don’t care how silly I sound, this is very important to me.
Quietly, globally, billions of bees are dying, threatening our crops and food. But in 48 hours the European Union could move to ban the most poisonous pesticides, and pave the way to a global ban that would save bees from extinction.
Four EU countries have begun banning these poisons, and some bee populations are already recovering. Days ago the official European food safety watchdog stated for the first time that certain pesticides are fatally harming bees. Now legal experts and European politicians are calling for an immediate ban. But, Bayer and other giant pesticide producers are lobbying hard to keep them on the market. If we build a huge swarm of public outrage now, we can push the European Commission to put our health and our environment before the profit of a few.
We know our voices count! Last year, our 1.2 million strong petition forced US authorities to open a formal consultation on pesticides — now if we reach 2 million, we can persuade the EU to get rid of these crazy poisons and pave the way for a ban worldwide. Sign the urgent petition and share this with everyone — Avaaz and leading MEPs will deliver our message ahead of this week’s key meeting in Brussels.
This is my friend Mary and her cat, Padfoot. She rescued this little baby, and was originally given permission to keep him on her semi off-campus apartment. Since then, Padfoot has become essential to her mental health and overall well being.
Unfortunately, things changed this weekend. Mary has been given 24 hours to relocate Padfoot, but she can’t find any place for him to stay. She is inconsolable because at this point, it looks like she will have to leave Padfoot at a shelter.
If there is anyone in Ferrum, VA area (or as far out as North Virginia and Greensboro, NC) that would be able to temporarily house Padfoot, we would be eternally grateful! I know a lot of you understand just how important companion animals are, especially to those who (like Mary) do not have a support network of friends or family.
Padfoot is a one-year old Maine Coon. He is healthy and up-to-date on all of his shots. He is very friendly and docile. He would also come with some basic supplies (litterbox, remaining food, ect).

This is Alyssa Marie Bryne-she has been missing since 8 last night.
We are doing everything we can to help locate her. She was at SnowGlobe in Tahoe, California. Last time anyone talked to her she was leaving her friends at the festival to go back to the hotel around 8pm. The hotel said she never came back.
No one can get a hold of her. No one knows where she is. We are all worried sick. In two more hours she will legally be a missing person.

My letter to the marketing division:
Dear Sir or Madame;
I’m writing in regards to your ad in the April 2012 Harvard Lampoon on page 24. The ad depicts the feet of two people who are implied to be naked and the slogan “The Only Tequila Classified as a Weapon by Bachelors Worldwide”. Getting a girl drunk enough that she has sex with you when you know she wouldn’t have sex with you otherwise is called rape. I find the fact that your product appears to be recommending the use of your product to rape women disgusting. I would like to hope that this is simply a terribly faux pas. Please issue a public apology for this appalling ad. Until you do, I will continue to share this image with my friends and recommend that they do not purchase your product.
The image, by the way, is a stock photo whose creator apparently pictured red “so it can be used to support AIDS cause.” Voodoo Tiki Tequila isn’t a brand that seems to care about craftsmanship or originality, just profit. If on that fact alone, I would not purchase their product. Given their advertising, I encourage everyone to boycott it entirely.
